Summary of the Annual Meeting content with updates from a more recent Board meeting:

  • Election results for 2 positions on Board of Directors: Sandy Johnson, who will serve as Communications Outreach/Vice President, and re-election for Inthava Hall, who will continue to serve as Secretary.

  • A process to welcome new Homeowners is being developed! Budget & planning are underway. Thank you to Caroline Weber for taking the lead!

  • Due to unpredictable and extreme weather patterns, we are planning to move the 2024 “Fall picnic” to a restaurant location. Caroline Weber is coordinating this event. The tentative date is Sunday,September 8. Please reserve the date!

  • Danielle Curti has volunteered to coordinate the 2025 Annual Spring Garage Sale for our neighborhood. It is a big event! Typically the date is the 1st or 2nd week of May.

  • We are now able to invest more time in regular updates to our Website, including scheduled neighborhood and city events. We are planning to email a newsletter at intervals throughout the year. In addition, we are discussing an option for a secured message board for the purpose of shared tips, recommendations, and information relevant to house-yard maintenance and individuals/families.

  • Diane Streck and Chris Jimieson, from the Resource Conservation Commission- City of Fitchburg presented information on Low Mow May and guidelines for sustainable, pollinator-friendly lawn care. The presentation prompted lots of great questions about lawns, potential alternatives to turf grass, and trees.

  • Financial accounts & budgetary categories are regularly posted on the website.

  • 2024 completed project: $2,500 tree donation to Rosecommon Park.

  • Thank you to the skilled volunteers from the Landscape Committee (annual review & written plan), to our volunteers who monitor & maintain the retention ponds (McKee & Chapel Valley), to the family who maintains lights and fresh paint at our Monument sites (McKee & Chapel Valley and McKee & Longford), to our newest member of the Board, and to our Welcome & “fall picnic” coordinator, to our Annual Garage Sale coordinator, and to our Board member volunteers. This has been a satisfying and productive year!!
